Clare Coles is a member of the Family and Civil Team.
Before completing pupillage in January 2006, Clare worked for a number of years as a Legal Adviser in various Magistrates’ Courts throughout the West Midlands and Derbyshire.
Clare accepts instructions in all areas of family law, with particular emphasis on Children Act work, both public and private law. She represents parents, Local Authorities and Children’s Guardians, as well as grandparents and other extended family members. Her private law practice includes residence and contact applications. Her public law work includes applications for care and supervision orders and special guardianship orders.
She has particular expertise in dealing with cases involving domestic violence, and regularly accepts instructions in Family Law Act injunctions.
She also has extensive experience in cases involving the CSA, including applications for liability orders.
Clare undertakes work within the general civil field, including personal injury and negligence.
Clare appears in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and High Court.
Clare is a member of the Family Law Bar Association.
